Murray the Moth Display Cabinet
It was hard for Murray to move. He had lost a foot during a bizarre accident involving a banjo and a photocopier. Flat on his back in the dark of the warehouse, he would regale the other lonely furniture with stories of his times as a pirate on the high seas, as a drug runner in Colombia and the days when he was down and out in Paris and London. Not everyone believed him, but his tales were so captivating, they didn’t really care.
After an operation to replace his foot, I dressed him in a sophisticated glossy black with wallpaper showing butterflies and moths, to honor to The Moth storytelling that spoke to his inner world. Now he is truly special both inside and out and he’s ready for his new home. When darkness falls, listen carefully and he might tell you a tale or two.
Small black vintage cabinet excellent for displaying treasures or using as a bar. Gloss black finish on wood with designer butterfly and moth wallpaper on inside back. Glass door and glass sides. Two glass shelves. Some light scratches to glass consistent with age. Locking door with key.
