Sisley the Stork Dresser
Some say “storks”, others say “herons” and others “cranes”; Sisley takes no offence at any bird name. He’s just happy to have them adorning his front. This project was a commission from a long-time supporter of FOUND. I needed to find a vintage or antique piece that was just the right size, function and style. Eventually I came across Sisley, a boring brown but solid guy, living in the basement of a home in Bernal Heights. After many coats of a luscious black paint, it was time to paper Sisley’s front in something classic yet fresh. This grasscloth paper gives a rich texture to the drawer fronts. Sisley is now in his forever home!
