Montie the Mountain Geode Sliding Door Cabinet

$1,850.00
Sold

Montie’s prognosis was bad. His pulse was weak, his color was orange toned. Bruises and blotches and scrapes spotted his surface. A former cowboy, his previously rugged strength had been reduced to a feeble parched croak for help. Fortunately the furniture doctor was in the building. A complete overhaul enabled his majestically grained light wood to show in it’s natural hue. A hand painted design was added to reflect his life in the mountains with gold leaf detailing suggestive of the geodes hidden in the rock below. He stands before you strong, capacious and ready to work again.

Mid century sliding door cabinet ideal for living room, dining room, office or entry. Originally bought at vintage store in Northern California. Gorgeous natural refinished wood with new paint and gold leaf decorative detail that blends from black at the base up to white where the paint meets the wood. One interior shelf in left side can be moved to right side if preferred. Original finger pulls. Doors can be moved to either side but pattern lines up best in one direction. Design also continues around back of cabinet so this piece can float in the room if you don't want it against a wall. A stunning conversation piece!

Height: 28 inches

Width: 60 inches
