Some of my rescues require a considerable degree of imagination to see past their chipped and broken bodies. Not so with this pair. Their elegant proportions were obvious from the start but they were dressed in a dull and dated distressed finish, dowdy housecoats layered with dust.

Fortunately their fairy godmother snapped them up at auction. It was time for the twins to try some haute couture for the ball!

Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you Cinder and Ella!

Pair of White Furniture nightstands or end tables. Each has one drawer above two doors. Professionally refinished in gloss green paint with inset panel details and drawer liners in Timorous Beasties's Indie Wood wallpaper. Gold toned door and drawer pulls and ferules on front feet. Former owner has cut a small hole in the back of each cabinet, presumably to run electrical cords.
