Kali (or Katherine as she was then known) was born in London in 1937. She was an English rose with a rebel heart. After 25 years of London smog, she stowed away on a ship bound for Mexico. It wasn’t long before she fell in with a group of hippies heading for San Francisco. They thumbed rides on dusty trucks heading north and paid their way with a stash of bootleg tequila they had brought with them. Today, Kali’s Grateful Dead antics are long gone, but she proudly bears the mesmerizing image of those kaleidoscopic cactus days.

Vintage 1930s curved front display cabinet with gloss green top and base. Original markings show ‘Barget Built London’. Ball feet, two glass shelves, two doors. Mirrored back with curved section in center lined with “Aloe” designer wallpaper from Florary Fabrics.

36.5” wide

15” deep

45” high
