Ted the Tea Tray
Ted the Tea Tray
Doris was a kindly soul
with a penchant for needlepoint
and two spoons of sugar in her tea.
"What does it matter, at my age?" she would mutter to the dog,
still with her in spirit, at least.
Ted carried the weight of this, and more,
silent, but always listening, a little dried milk crusting his edges.
"Those who talk least, often have the most to say", he thought.
And so, Doris stirred his poems into being.
Okay, so poor Ted Hughes would be turning in his grave, but this is the perfect unique gift for the real poet in your life!
Tray features “Genuine Fake Bookshelf” wallpaper by Deborah Bowness.
Glass top, wood frame and black felt on underside.
22” wide x
13.25” deep
